The Weary And The Wise is a 1970s-style Country Rock album, written, recorded, produced, and mixed by Gary Dale Scott, over the course of 4 years in his home studio in Old Hickory, TN. It started with Scott simply wanting to record demos of some of his original songs, then gradually grew into something much bigger. Using old-school, analog tube amps, Grammy winning, Nashville producer and engineer Ray Kennedy mastered the record at his Room & Board Studio. (Kennedy works across genres with numerous artists like: Jackson Browne, John Hiatt, Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, and Taylor Swift. He also records at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios from time to time). The Indy album includes 12 songs; 10 originals and 2 covers.
